I can’t change the direction of the wind, but I can adjust my sails to always reach my destination.
Jimmy Dean, American Country Music Singer
. . .
Oft’ forgotten is the written word,
Thus, in peril this poem I pen.
To achieve what may be thought absurd,
I terminate thought, and write then.
A singular star blazing and bright,
Outshines humankind’s solar amigo.
A lodestar’s luminous might,
Serves to guide, whithersoever we go.
Ethereal and astral; A heavenly being;
Of divine origin, are the lodestar’s words.
Fatuity and foolishness are flying and fleeing,
A vociferous voice, having heard.
Lodestars in our lives are few and easy they are to lose,
Yet a constellation is found, if to search for them, you choose.
